Saturday June 9th! Get Down with the DRAW DOWN! here, there, everywhere!



The Vancouver Draw Down is coming up June 9, 2012 and will celebrate drawing with activities all day long. With 27 free workshops at 18 locations, there is a full schedule of events to encourage Vancouverites young and old to “touch a pen to a piece of paper, and make a mark.”
Gather in an art gallery, museum, community centre, or on the street to doodle, sketch, create a font, add to a mural, and more. You don’t need to be a professional artist — everyone can draw. You can drop-in to the workshops and visit multiple sessions and venues throughout the whole day.
Here at Trout Lake we will be hosting our event with some fun interactive drawing approaches.  Come and get your draw on!  June 9th from 10am – 12pm.

Trout Lake Day – Come On You Trout-heads!!!!!!

A free, family-friendly festival, featuring games, music, free art workshops, and a giant, intercultural picnic – bring food, break bread, eat with your friends & neighbours. Also featuring ‘A CIRCLE OF TROUT’ – help this community to set the World Record for people holding hands in a circle, encompassing the whole of Trout Lake, literally joining the community together.
